We love:
Light, very usable gearbox comfortable for a range of drivers.
Clever, roomy interior design.
Affordable, capped price servicing.
Excellent visibility for the driver
Pain points:
Manual has five gears and auto has four, when competitors have an extra ratio.
Noisy engine at high revs.
Toyota Yaris 2015 Review
This sensible city runabout makes a perfect first car or suits a small family looking to retain resale value when it's time to upgrade.
Exterior of the Toyota Yaris 2015
The Toyota Yaris 2015 is available with five doors, the previous three door option being retired. The newly designed exterior is curvaceous, brightwork from the large badge to headlights and a large arched grille with black mesh giving a perky attitude.

The car's dimensions are 3905mm long, 1695mm wide, 1510mm tall, and it weighs in at just 1055kg.
The rear of the car even looks a little bit sporty due to the lower bumper, without being racy. The driver has a good 360-degree view, and the single central windscreen wiper is surprisingly effective. There are eight colours to choose from, and the yellow will be super-easy to spot in the parking lot.
Inside the Toyota Yaris 2015
Clever design and use of space is a standout feature of the 2015 Toyota Yaris. It's easy to find a safe, supportive driving position using the height and reach adjustment for the steering wheel and driving controls. The driver's hands don't need to leave the wheel with steering wheel mounted audio and phone controls.

The boot gives you 286L, which is enough for most daily activities, with the option to fold down the rear seats and a hidden subfloor under the main luggage area where valuable items can be stashed.
For passengers, both front and rear seats are comfortable for tall adults, with decent headroom. Convenient internal storage includes bottle holders and deep storage pockets in the front doors, a shelf for the front passenger above the glovebox, and extra shelf space for the driver on the right of the steering wheel. Sunglasses can be stored forward of the parking brake and two cup-holders here can fit more small bottles.

The dashboard and door plastics are hard wearing and easy to wipe clean.
Connectivity
There's a 12V charging outlet, as well as USB/auxiliary device connections. Bluetooth streaming to the 6.1 inch display is clear, and the phone connects quickly and easily. The six-speaker sound system works well enough.

What's it like to drive the Toyota Yaris 2015?
The 2015 Toyota Yaris is a revolution for city driving. Its electric power steering is light and direct, allowing you to manoeuvre tight spaces in confined city streets without complicated manoeuvres thanks to the Yaris tight turning circle.
"5/5 stars, love this car. So cheap to run and the interiors are easy to clean, cheap as chips with petrol..." - owner review on Product Review.
Reverse parking is a breeze, with a reverse camera that's standard in all models giving you all round visibility from the driver's seat anyone can confidently position the car.

Compared to the 2014 model, the 2015 Toyota Yaris provides a smoother ride over rough urban roads, with upgraded suspension and a more linear steering response. Even giant speed humps are comfortable with four adults on board. Cruise control is standard, and even at 110kmph, this hatch is quiet and comfortable.
The five-speed manual 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine gives up to 6300rom with 80kW and 141Nm torque, lower specs than the closest competitor the Accent Active with its 1.6L four-cylinder engine, 90kW and 156Nm. Reach adjustable steering controls optimise driver comfort.
"...a five-door small car that'll easily handle the city duties it's meant for." - Campbell Simpson, Gizmodo
Who's the Toyota Yaris 2015 for?
This is a great city runabout that copes well enough on the open highway and a perfect first car. If your primary concern is easy parking, and nippy navigation of city traffic, the Toyota Yaris 2015 won't disappoint.
Straightforward and easy to use, the Toyota Yaris 2015 works well for a small family, city dweller, or as a commuter where you don't need anything fancy to get the job done.
